Future Clothing: Zero to $10million in Three Years

Diff partnered with this cutting-edge clothing brand to establish their omnichannel strategy and custom build their highly-responsive site. Three years since launch, Ministry now exceeds $10million in annual sales.

Here's what we did

CHALLENGE

Ministry is a clothing technology brand developed by 3 MIT graduates. In 2013, after Ministry of Supply orchestrated the most successful Kickstarter campaign to date, the team came looking for a partner that could build an online commerce experience that would live up to the advanced nature of their apparel. As an agency committed to the future of ecommerce, Diff was more than up to the challenge.

SOLUTION

Front-End

Diff partnered with Ministry to first develop their digital commerce strategy and to build the front-end user-experience; a first-of-its-kind responsive site that helped build Ministry’s brand story by providing a seamless, streamlined shopping experience.

Back-End

The site proved so successful, that in 2015, Ministry opened its first brick and mortar stores in NYC and The Bay Area. In collaboration, Diff developed a seamless omnichannel portal - integrating their Vend POS and Quiet Logistics 3PL and coordinating the storefront team to also act as warehouse system. The evolution also included an intelligent custom portal providing the team with unified data of who the customer is, where and when they shop. Added features to the site also included a Custom RMA solution to support returns the ability buy online and have it delivered from local stores via delivery service POSTMATE; as well as order splitting for fulfillment from physical store locations alongside Quiet-Logistics 3PL.

THE RESULTS

Over $10million in Sales

Ministry store locations can now act as distribution centers, providing reduction in shipping time to customers with a fully automated RMA process. This custom streamlined solution has contributed to 2016 sales exceeding $10million! and, Ministry is in the process of opening their 9th brick and mortar store in the United States. As their agency of record since 2013, Diff and Ministry are continuously working to deliver a cutting edge commerce experience.

“It's extremely helpful to work with a partner who understands the challenges of eCommerce the way that Diff does, and to have a scalable development team on-call to work with so that we aren't staffing up on that side. Instead, we can focus our resources on making our products better, designing our stores and designing a shopping experience that people love to engage with.”
