BESTSELLER is a $4 billion European company with multiple fashion brands and over 2,700 managed stores in operation. The BESTSELLER shop features two languages and several brands all housed under a single storefront. Customers can browse each brand’s products separately, yet checkout in a single cart. A complex discount engine was hand-coded into the site in order to meet BESTSELLER’s needs for its brand-driven promotions. The site is also heavily optimized for mobile devices since mobile shopping has become the fastest-growing customer segment. Finally, to make sure the eComm team had as much visibility into the site’s progress as possible, we structured the site carefully to fuel our dashboards in Google Analytics.
With sales occurring at all hours of the day, it was essential to have a smooth cutover from the previous Magento-based solution to Shopify. Diff came prepared with a detailed cutover plan that ensured not a single order was lost in the transition. Overnight, orders automatically started flowing into the Momentis ERP system as they began to accumulate in Shopify just as expected. Products also continued to be maintained centrally within the PIM and updated in Shopify as needed.
