Face to Face Games is Canada's premier retailer and tournament organizer for trading card games, specializing in Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!. With retail locations in Toronto and Montreal featuring expansive play spaces, they've built a thriving community around in-store tournaments and online card sales. Beyond retail, Face to Face Games operates the F2F Tour,  a flagship Canadian tournament circuit that connects players nationwide.

As their digital presence grew, Face to Face Games needed a strategic partner to evolve their website and streamline critical user journeys. The goal was to enhance the shopping experience, improve event discovery, and introduce new tools that made buying and selling cards more efficient — all while maintaining brand integrity and supporting their expanding community.

With a packed tournament calendar spanning multiple locations and game types, users struggled to find relevant events quickly and intuitively, limiting engagement with one of the platform's core offerings. At the same time, the existing buy/sell card experience needed refinement to support smoother transactions and encourage repeat engagement from collectors and competitive players alike. Beyond functionality, the broader user experience—navigation, information architecture, and visual presentation—required thoughtful updates to better serve both casual shoppers and dedicated TCG enthusiasts. Underpinning it all was the need for operational scalability: the platform had to evolve efficiently, empowering the Face to Face Games team with tools and systems that aligned with their ambitious growth roadmap.
